The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team knows exactly where to go next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could help the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Audiences can expect discovering which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
